Design & Build

design/build services. Our design/build method economizes and streamlines a project by overlapping the design and construction phases with the contractor assuming the majority of the risk.
At KG Design & Build, this means we construct the budget, schedule and build from early concept to completion. Our design/build services allow for fast-track project execution to accommodate accelerated schedules where valuable time and cost can be saved because construction can begin before the entire design is complete.
When serving as your design/builder, we take on the responsibility of hiring and
managing the design professionals, consultants and subcontractors. We are still able to follow the design/build approach if you already have an architect on board or in mind. We work with numerous design professionals and subs to make sure we have the best people on the project at ALL times.
Construction Management
If you don’t have extensive construction experience or don’t have the time to supervise the construction process then hiring us to act as your construction manager will serve you well.
Our Construction Management services allow our clients to retain control of a project while placing day-to-day construction decisions in the experienced hands of our project management team.
We become involved early in the process, ideally during the planning stages, and find cost-effective solutions for project challenges that comply with the design intent and overall project objectives including time, cost and quality. We can also act as Construction Manager at Risk which expands our role of Construction Manager.
We assume the responsibilities of delivering the project at a guaranteed maximum price including engaging subcontractors for the purpose of completing the construction of the project. As the client representative through construction, our team’s specialized level of knowledge, experience, and expertise especially for complex construction projects greatly reduces the level of risk for the owner on every project.
Preconstruction Services
If you need a clear picture of your project’s cost, we can help evaluate the different scenarios upfront and help you define a plan for your project prior to funding approval.
Whether you bring us a napkin sketch, early schematic design, or property listing, our Preconstruction services allow our clients to begin construction with a clear picture of the process and cost. Working closely with the owner, architects, engineers, and designers, we are able to develop acceptable budgets; establish a schedule for completion of all phases; apply value engineering
to the design to deliver time and cost savings, and uncover & address complex issues early in the process to save both time and money down the road.
Early involvement in projects allows us to ensure the successful construction, timely completion, and cost containment of every project. KG Design & Build specializes in coordinating and executing all preconstruction efforts to ensure that our clients are aware of all the options and potential challenges their project could face.
