In 2019, owner and CEO Keith Goodwin decided to start his General Contracting business KG Remodeling LLC after spending several years as the top Senior Project Manager for one of Chicago’s leading design and build firms Design 1st Builders. After realizing he’s outgrown his position, he decided to branch off on his own with the goal of building a top-notch remodeling company where his passion for construction and architecture could be reflected in his OWN work
Along the way, Keith has built a plethora of successful projects from Night Clubs, Restaurants, and Grocery Stores from Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta to Milwaukee. He also knew that if he could build a remarkable remodeling business it would be the first step to growing into a full design and build firm…and that’s what he did. MBE Certified (Minority Business Enterprise) KG Design & Build is built on a foundation of outstanding, long-term client relationships. That meant delivering on every promise and commitment made and like a magnet, we have attracted great people and diverse, residential and commercial projects.
KG Design & Build has quickly grown to be one of Chicago’s most forward-thinking, smartest, and highly innovative general contractors. By focusing on one key proposition: “we build spaces where people & businesses thrive”. We’ll continue to live by that tenet on every project.

Keith Goodwin
Keith Goodwin got his start in the design-build over 20 years ago when he helped design and build 5 nightclubs in Chicago and Milwaukee. He then moved into the residential arena working with Design 1st builders for five years where he really honed his skills for design-build.
Keith also worked with various architects and structural engineers on a wide variety of projects in Chicago and Atlanta. With a very solid and capable team around him, Keith has taken the next step by securing his MBE and making strategic partnerships while growing KG Design & Build
Luchiano Dennis
Luchiano has been the leader of operations in several different areas. He has a proven record of success, both in managing sizeable projects and in developing and implementing strategic business plans to increase efficiency and broaden markets served.
Luchiano will run the day-to-day management of the firm’s operations and interacts with all projects and clients to ensure that the original goals and schedules are executed as promised. He believes the key to a successful project is understanding client expectations for schedule, budget, safety, and quality from the onset.
Shante Lobbins
Shante Lobbins is a seasoned Executive Assistant with over 15 years in the field. She has continued to increase in knowledge on many of her assigned roles and is very effective at developing new processes and procedures as well as being quite proficient in event planning and organizing meetings and schedules.
She provides technical and logistical support on special projects. She is able to interact directly with potential and existing clients. In addition to her duties as an Executive Assistant, she is also an active Real Estate Broker and is currently selling Residential and Commercial Property in the City of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. She loves arts and crafts which comes in handy in her interior designing skills.
